We had a great (and busy) month of May!
Here is a recap with some pictures!
Memorial Day Weekend in Indio with the Dulgarian's
This weekend was a blast! We swam everyday, we ate a lot of yummy food, (Jason's soup was the best!) we played some fun games and we did it all without anyone getting hurt! (Wait, minus Molly getting stung by a bee! Ouch!)
On Friday we surprised Jason and Megan with a small baby shower for their first little girl. She got a ton of super cute clothes, but the highlight of the shower if your name wasn't Jason was the game we played... or maybe I should say the game we watched. Everyone sat on the couch while Jason sat blindfolded in a chair. I spoon fed him some baby food and he had to guess what it was! If he was wrong, he took another bite (and did this up to 3 times) and when he guessed right Megan got to open a present! We all got a good laugh... except Jason of course! The jar of apples and ham was his least favorite!
Also on Friday we had a blackjack tournament (fake money of course) and Rob & I were obviously the big losers! I could’ve predicted that before we started playing- I HATE THAT GAME! I have never done well at it! (Right Becca?) Saturday, Jason put together a murder mystery dinner that had us all laughing around the table! Rob wore fake teeth that had me so grossed out and Josh was a little too comfortable acting interested in other men!
After dinner we played "That's My Spouse!" where the guys and girls took turns being blindfolded and tried to guess which hand, foot, leg, etc. belonged to our spouse. Surprisingly, Dean and Diane, although married the longest, didn’t do so well! (Not that Rob and I were right on with it all either!) The spiritual thoughts and scriptures from everyone on Sunday were great, and the nightly devotionals were all good too. I am sure the boys had fun playing XBox while the girls chatted by the pool! It was such a fun vacation; I miss Rob's entire family already and can't wait for the next one- wherever and whenever that will be!
Ethan's Preschool Graduation
Even though he has one more full year before he goes to Kindergarten, Ethan participated in his Preschool Graduation and insists he is done with school forever! (I guess we can kiss med school goodbye?)
Daddy Daughter Time!
Mom leaves dad with Leah while she has a meeting and comes home to find both of them zonked out on the couch like this! Either it was a rough night, or the two of them love to cuddle!
Little Leah's Funny Personality
This month Leah has really started to mimic people! If you catch her in a good mood, she performs some funny "tricks!" She will squeeze her fists really tight and her face freezes til it shakes if you ask her to shake, she will tilt her head to one side and smile if you aske her to pose, she claps when you cheer, dances when you sing and puckers up if you ask for a kiss! She is growing right before our eyes and we are loving every minute of it!
Our Star Athlete!
Our Star Athlete!
This spring, Ethan did soccer, karate and tumbling and had a blast being so busy! He scored 4 goals in soccer (3 for his team and 1 for his opponents!), he got a black stripe on his white belt in karate (not sure about the purpose of that, but I assume its a good thing!) and he had a blast with his friends running and flipping on the tumbling mats "just like Power Rangers"- as he puts it. Next month he starts T Ball and we are excited to see him try something new! I like that sports keep him busy and active because he also plays a lot of XBox like his daddy and uncles do! As long as Ethan enjoys what he plays and doesn't get burned out, he can play whatever sport our community offers! (Its cheap that way!) Rob's says Ethan is his ticket to an early retirement, so we need to encourage him all we can... for Rob's sake! :)
Boys Weekend Away!
Rob and Ethan flew to Texas and met Dean there for an unforgettable weekend of fun! They went to an Angels game, they went to Texas Stadium and got to play football on the field where the Dallas Cowboys play. Rob said he had such a good time, he wants to do something like this more often!
