Our Happy Family

We had the kids pictures taken this past week and I know I am a biased mom, but I think they turned out really cute! Ethan is 4 years old now and Leah is 6 months- Man how the time flies!
Ethan

It seems like Rob and I have new stories daily about funny things Ethan has said and done! I am trying to emphasize the importance of him whispering in Sacrament Meeting because he will ask me things when the room is quiet that have me at a loss of words! He has pointed to the young man behind us and asked, "Mom, why didnt he take the bread?!" or "Where do babies come out of?"

He is learning new things everyday too! Last week he memorized the entire 1st Article of Faith just on our drive to church! We are trying to teach him all 13 by the end of the year, and it is amazing (and sometimes scary) how much he learns and remembers in just a short time.

We also signed Ethan up for Soccer, and he will start that in the beginning of March. He is a busy kid! He goes to preschool on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, Tumbling on Fridays and soccer practice will take up another day of his week not to mention the games each Saturday! Maybe he will spend more of his time off the XBox if we keep him involved! We tried signing him up for Karate last year, but that was so expensive, and in his "Introductory Lesson" the instructor spent more of his time teaching me and Rob self-defense while Ethan ran around on the mats! Karate was not for us!

Ethan is the best helper with Leah- he loves her. He has informed me than our next baby will be named Spencer. (His best friend just had a brother born named Spencer, so that's where he got the name!) I look forward each day for the time I get to spend with him! He is such a good boy and definately keeps us entertained!

Leah

Our little girl is 6 months old and I cant believe how fast she is growing! She has been rolling over for a month now, and she makes her way around the room nicely between rolling and scooting. She started solid foods this month too and she loves making messes! So far there isnt any food she has tried that she doesnt like, but her favorite seems to be the dinner rolls from IKEA! She will be kept busy the entire time I shop if I have some of that bread for her! More of it ends up crumbled on her shirt than in her belly, but if it keeps her occupied, I dont care!

She has been entertaining up with her smiles since she was 2 months old, but still her laughs are few and far between! Only Ethan can get her laughing! I can be making silly faces and funny noises and get some great smiles, but Ethan will immitate exactly what I was doing and he gets her to laugh out loud! I dont understand it!

She seems to be teething, but no teeth have come all the way in yet, and that is fine with me! She is still known for always having her tongue out, although sadly she doesnt have it out nearly as often as she used to. She loves bathtime and LOVES taking a dip in Opa's Hot Tub! That is a sure fire way to calm her down if she gets cranky! We love Loo so much and enjoy watching her grow and learn new things. She is the perfect addition to our little family!

Rob

Rob is just getting ready to wrap up his 4th busy season working at Deloitte. He is still wanting to find another job, but hasnt had time lately because of his busy schedule. He is also serving as the Ward Executive Secretary, and he seems to love his calling. When he is not at work or wrestling with Ethan, he plans our next family vacations! He has an itch for traveling and is eager to see the world while I am prefectly content at home! He and Mike have been buying and resaling tickets (scalping, some would say) and it has become their favorite hobby and most popular way to spend a Saturday morning!

Me

I am definately keeping busy! I teach preschool out of my home, which I LOVE, and I currently have 14 kids enrolled in my classes! I am also the YW President in our Ward, and that is fun and very rewarding. I love working with the youth! Also, I am trying to make 2 million dollars- Rob said if we had 2 million, we could live off the interest and he could retire, so that is my goal! I have tried to start a crafting business where I mostly sell little girl bows as well as vinyl lettering items. I am having fun, but learniing quickly that becoming a millionaire is not going to happen overnight! Of course my favorite job is being a mom- I am so fortunate to be able to stay at home and to have such a wonderful family. We are truly blessed!
